When I looked up and saw his eyes, he smiled. His eyes smiled.  Mr. Machek, my art professor at Albion College, said, “It’s okay.  Everyone can be an artist if he or she wants to- just reach into your heart and give yourself the freedom to create.”  Since I was raised by a family of artists, art was the focus of our activities.  I was encouraged and enabled to create with confidence, enthusiasm and passion throughout my life. Each day, I relish the anticipation of creating art. The future holds such joy for me! Life is so good!
